Young Men & Women of Distinction

Young Men & Women participate in leadership summits, mandatory community events, and school events year round. They aim to be a positive influence to all they meet

SCPS Distinction Program Creed

As a Young Men/Women of Distinction, we will be outstanding leaders that are Hardworking, Strong, and Intelligent. We will strive for Excellence; Learning that we are diverse and beautiful in our own culture and together. We will provide inclusion, comfort and, outreach for those in Our School and Our Community”
Mission

Young Men & Women of Distinction is an application class that emphasizes the importance of inclusion, leadership, responsibility, and accountability all in a safe environment. This class is the middle school level connected to the Young Men & Women of Excellence program of all Seminole County High Schools.

PURPOSE

Our purpose is to be a participating force within our school community that pushes inclusion, support, and commitment to directly affect our leadership and participation in our town. 

VISION

The Young Men & Women of Distinction classes will provide many different kinds of leadership opportunities for students to explore, grow, and challenge themselves while apart of our curriculum.
