Welcome, Falcon Families!

Last week, our Falcons showed how learning and leadership extend beyond the classroom. Dr. Norton’s Environmental Club tended their classroom greenhouse, encouraged recycling, and helped keep our campus clean, while Ms. Bass’s Sunshine Club spread kindness and strengthened connections across our school. We also welcomed Ethan Pritchard, a Seminole High School football alumnus and former Florida State Seminoles football player, who shared his journey and encouraged students to learn from setbacks and keep pursuing their goals. Our Drumline brought rhythm, energy, and Falcon pride to Wendy’s grand opening at Kings Crossing in Sanford. Thank you to General Manager Carmen and the Wendy’s team for their generous hospitality and for giving our students an opportunity to shine in the community!

Congratulations to our boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams on a hard-fought season! We’re proud of the teamwork, dedication, and perseverance our players brought to the court. Thank you to Coaches Bass, Bradley, and Krazeise for their leadership and to our families for cheering on our Falcons. This week brings more opportunities to celebrate student talent, including Tuesday’s SCPS All County Chorus and Wednesday’s Band Costume Concert at 6:30 p.m. in Millennium Hall. Remember to wear pink for Friday’s Pink Out Pep Rally! We’re also cheering on our students participating in Honor Choir and Saturday’s SCPS String Day.

As we begin a new quarter, please review Quarter 1 report cards with your Falcon, celebrate their progress, and choose a goal to work toward together. Free ELA tutoring begins Monday, with sessions on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings, while math tutoring continues Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Check the schedules below to plan transportation. PTSA Reflections entries are due Tuesday, October 20, and Magnet Night is Thursday, October 29, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the showcase beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Millennium Hall. Thank you for encouraging the curiosity, kindness, and determination that help our Falcons soar!

Let’s have a fantastic week, Falcons! It’s always a great week to soar!
